I am a 4th-generation drum maker, but no one taught me. The knowledge came through my bones—four generations of wisdom channeled through my heart, spirit, and hands. The techniques I carry have been passed down through my lineage, but they came to me as remembrance, not instruction.

Q: I’ve never made a drum before. Can I do this?
A: Yes. This work welcomes all levels. I guide you through every step with patience and presence. Your drum will teach you what it needs.
Q: How long does the workshop take?
A: 3-1/2 hours. We move at a ceremonial pace—not rushed, but focused. You’ll leave with your completed drum.
Q: What size drum will I make?
A: 16″ diameter hand drum—a versatile size perfect for personal practice, ceremony, and healing work.
Q: Can I choose my drum skin?
A: Yes! Part of the ceremony is selecting which bison skin calls to you. Each one has unique patterns and medicine. The beauty of this ceremony is that the skin chooses you before you enter the room.
Q: What is the ancestral transmission?
A: Mountain Flower becomes the vessel to channel your ancestors and conveys through her eyes and hands into you the message and wisdom your ancestors or guides want you to have, specifically for this creation ceremony.
Q: What’s the difference between making my own vs. buying one from you?
A: A drum from me carries my medicine and ancestral transmission. A drum you CREATE carries YOURS—woven with your prayers, your hands, your intention. Plus, you receive instruction in profound presence and the ceremonial experience of birth.
Q: What if I can’t make any of the scheduled dates?
