Testimonial

“Mountain Flower held me in sacred space to create my first bison rattle. The whole experience was very moving and healing. Our time together came exactly when I needed it. She made each step clear, deeply intentional, and transformative. The creation of the rattle was a healing experience in itself.”

Megan Ressler, Shoreline Shine, Pediatric OT & Energy Healer

Why Create Your Own

A rattle you purchase carries the maker’s medicine. A rattle you CREATE carries yours—woven in with ancestral transmission and the prayers you placed in every stitch.

I am a 4th-generation rattle maker, but no one taught me. The knowledge came through my bones—ancestral memory rising through my hands. The sticks call to me in the forest. The hide speaks. When you create with me, you receive this transmission.

This is for practitioners who serve others. This is for seekers deepening their own practice. This is for anyone feeling called to sacred sound medicine.

Frequently Asked Question

Q: I’ve never made anything like this. Can I do it?
A: Absolutely. This work is for all levels. I guide you through every step with patience and presence. The rattle will teach you what it needs.

Q: Why two sessions instead of one?
A: The overnight period is necessary for the shell of your rattle to dry.

Q: What if I can’t make both sessions?
A: Both sessions are required to complete the process. If you can’t commit to both dates, please wait for the next offering.

Q: Can I choose my materials?
A: Yes! Part of the ceremony is selecting which handle, hide, and shaker ingredients call to you. Each choice is intentional.

Q: What’s the difference between making my own vs buying one?
A: A purchased rattle carries my medicine. A rattle you create carries YOURS—woven with your prayers, your intention, your hands. Plus you receive the ancestral transmission of learning the sacred process.

“I have found the rattle very supportive in my shamanic studies and energy work. I am using it as a tool for connection; it helps me connect more deeply with myself and the earth before, during, and after a practice, session, or ceremony. If you feel guided to create or use this special tool, Mountain Flower will lead the way with grace and joy.”
